Where is Bogota Going?
I had to share this image with you today as I spotted this traffic signal in Chapinero. Confused? Me too. And just around the corner on the Carrera 7 employees of the city decided to recalibrate the traffic lights at a vital intersection. Yes, fine, but without the transit police to direct vehicles a car smashed through into a motorcyclist. He was taken away in an ambulance. Where were the Transit Police? Perhaps this inventive signal could be a metaphor for Bogota regarding the city’s proposed progress and its actual progress.
