I am humbled, honoured and thrilled to share with you all that the Colombia Calling podcast has been nominated in several categories in the 2018 Latin Podcast Awards.
We were asked to submit a recent episode upon which to be judged and I decided upon: Ep221, The Mompós Project, Chapter 1. Of course, there is an ulterior motive to having chosen this episode and it’s all about trying to get the news out there and trying to find an editor and publisher for my book. You’ll remember this episode from other posts such as this one on Medium and this one picked up on by a great literary magazine based out of New Orleans called South Writ Large.
The three categories in which Colombia Calling has made the grade are the following:
- Society and Culture
- English Only Podcast
The Latin Podcast Awards will honor the Hispanic/Latinx podcaster. They also celebrate the contributions made by other Latin and Non-Latin members of the podcasting community who have made a significant contribution to the Latinx podcast industry.
So, please keep on supporting Colombia Calling and tuning in week in week out. Without you the listeners, there is nothing, just a voice over the airwaves into emptiness. Thank you.
Remember, there have been some great shows of late on the podcast including Ep236 with the always colourful Adriaan Alsema, director of Colombia Reports, Ep240 with Canadian expat Delaney Turner, and Ep242 Conquered by Colombia with Emma Louise.
