Sent on an errand today by my good wife I found myself down in the Bogota Sign barrio. Here, signs of all shapes and sizes are made on the spot. My goal was to find a small stamp “pagado” for the Casa Amarilla bills, but as you can see my eye wandered and I found myself wanting to buy a whole variety of signs, in particular, “residuous peligrosos” and “Bomb Shelter”. how would those go down with the guests in Mompos? Anyway, I found the sello that I was sent to purchase, sidestepped the plethora of brothels found this side of the Avenida Caracas and snapped some shots of the local graffiti. This all reminded me of why I love how old school Bogota is.
